FOURTH QUARTER 2023 IDAHO BREWERIES UPDATE

On January 6th, 2024, Idaho finally achieved the milestone of 100 Active Breweries.  I will write more about that in the 2023 Year End Idaho Brewery Recap.

The last quarter of 2023 gave us two new breweries bringing the number of  total active breweries to 99.  See List of Idaho Breweries for details.

137 BERT'S BREWING

Robert Harrelson is one of the best brewers in the State of Idaho.  He is a graduate of the World Brewing Academy at the Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois.  He gained his brewing experience at the Chapman Crafted Beer Company in Old Town Orange, California before moving to Idaho to become the Head Brewer at Milners Gate Brewing in Twin Falls.  He was the lead brewer at Payette Brewing prior to opening Bert's Brewing.

Robert's wife, Sydney is the co-owner of Bert's.  Sydney has experience in running the retail side of the  business.  She and Robert met at brewpub in Orange, California. 

The Taproom has several tables and seating at the bar with additional seating on the patio and by the firepits.  I have one contemporary that has declared the Bert's is his favorite brewery.  I think a lot of the Idaho craft beer fans may feel the same.

135 BREWSCAPE BEER CO

Lyndie and Stacey Crespin bought High Society Brewing in Hayden and after some major changes, reopened the location as Brewscape Beer Co.  The biggest change is that Brewscape Beer Co is a Brew Pub offering food in addition to their own handcrafted beer.
